MateriaLab project aims to contribute to the evolution and refinement of disciplines that are positioned between science and art, analog and digital culture, technique and creativity. To create a new expertise, not anymore only interdisciplinary but also intercultural, able to play the role of a researcher, a creative and a technician at the same time, like it happened in our past history’s great moments of splendor such as the Renaissance. People like Leonardo da Vinci, or the great italian and european utopians, or ancient Greece’s scientist and philosophers, are inspiration for the human being MateriaLab aims to remodel and train. A new expertise, diverse and diversified, capable to understand the world around us, moment after moment, in its development better than in its formal aspect, in continuous and more and more frenetic change. The evolution of human society and its environment suffers to more and more complex and articulated development patterns, whose functioning is also in constant change. Human learning capacity just makes it to keep abreast of this process, so school and professional training does. Time is a factor which is independent from man, it constantly flows since ever and forever. But the way man uses time is absolutely under man’s control. Controlling time is the primary key to succeed in every activity, most of all for the evolving process to succeed, a process which needs a time beat that’s in line with its development rhythm. Abnormal growth generates unmanageable freaks. A sustainable growth is a feasible path towards our future.
