A feasibility study has been released in 2007, as a result of 4 editions of Fiabesque, containing experiences and best practices, an accurate analysis and new projects for the forthcoming editions, together with a detailed strategy to involve the entire area in participating every benefit coming from the marketing actions connected to Fiabesque’s national and international promotion. The feasibility study is in Italian language only, and it’s available on demand under non-disclosure agreement. Fiabesque is a project by Enrico Cioccolini, Gianni Pirotta and Massimiliano Pinucci. Unfortunately my dearest friend and colleague Gianni died in 2005 after having contracted malaria in Senegal, during one of his journeys. We honoured his memory every year, officially dedicating since 2005 the first day of every edition to him. In 2006 Pinucci and I wrote a book about Fiabesque (in Italian language with an English summary), Fiabesque la città delle fiabe – Il fantastico nella progettazione degli eventi, that after a while became a classic about Events Design in the ISIA’s official library (ISIA is one of the most important Design Schools in Italy). The book is available on demand and can also be ordered through Gangemi Editore Website and at several other online bookstores. Fiabesque has a Website, http://www.fiabesque.it, where the editions from 2004 to 2007 can be found. Since 2008 on the URL has migrated to http://www.fiabesque.org and Fiabesque is under the direction of Massimiliano Pinucci.
Fiabesque
Born in 2004 as a Street Theater Festival dedicated to Fairy Tales and devoted to bring the village of Peccioli (Pisa, Italy) to life during winter time, Fiabesque became very soon much more. Multimedia, cinema, cartoons, art, crafts, design, architecture and social issues came together to create a yearly event that goes on spreading its effects throughout the whole 12 months of the year, involving an international network, which becomes wider and wider every passing edition.
